A lady walks up to the desk and says, "I forgot my PIN and I can't get on the computer."
I say, "No problem, I can look it up for you. Can I see your card?"
She hands me a card and I am reaching to scan it when I realize--it is a Walgreens card, not a library card.
there is an annoying comedian whose catchphrase is "You can't fix stupid." That comes to mind (okay, my mind) often.
ReplyDeleteFortunately it seemed like she was one of the thoughtless ones rather than the stupid ones, and she had a good laugh at her own expense (and you know how rare that is among library patrons!).
