Turtles

Today an elderly patron (finally) stopped chatting with me because she had to go catch her bus. She said "Well, I'd better make like a herd of turtles" and shuffled off.

    so....is a herd of turtles faster or slower than one turtle?

      My understanding was that it is probably slower, but more exciting.

      I'd say if you control for her size she was about the same (she could take bigger steps, though!).
