My passion

An eight-ish boy said to me, "Do you have any books about shooting? I love shooting. Shooting is my passion!"


Since his secondary passion is 'cussing,' I tried to get him to read a Western, but the cussing was too old-fashioned and apparently they aren't gory enough.

    do kids really say "cussing"? he does seem like a potential Western reader...maybe a graphic Western novel?

      He goes to Catholic school. Maybe the nuns still say that?

      I am definitely searching our catalog for western graphic novels right now!

    "my passion" is strange language for an 8 year old. Or is that something that kids hear all the time these days--find your passion?

      I'm not sure. There are a lot of things about this kid that are strange.
